Rachel finished Christmas Plaid just this year. In late 2022 Rachel walked into a fabric store and saw a display of plaid fabrics and thought ‘What a fun Christmas coat idea!’ She got to work on the coat and finished in January 2023 now it’s fully accessorized and ready to go for Christmas 2023.
As for decoration, the Christmas trees on the coat are all decorated in a theme: there is a nativity scene tree, a watermelon tree, a bead tree, just to name a few. See if you can pick out the others!
A string of Christmas lights provide a border that gives the bottom something extra. The back panel is made from a fabric called ‘Hustle and Bustle’ that Rachel wanted to include because, as she said, ‘The name is just so clever!’
